Stranger Than Fiction’s Thom Powers lists Ben Fowlie as one of the “20 under 40: Film Industry Talent to Watch”.  Ben is the director and founder of the Camden International Festival and a board member here at MFVA.  Congratulations Ben!

A great opportunity is approaching! The Maine Film Studios is holding their first OPEN CASTING CALL on January 16th from 9am- 1pm. This is open to actors/actresses of all ages! We are looking for a variety of roles for two upcoming feature film projects, as well as other smaller projects. The studios are also seeking a few males/females in good shape to be in a fitness video.

If you are developing a project and would like the opportunity to present a 10-15 minute excerpt (or trailer) to a panel of festival and distribution experts and an audience of your peers and please submit a QuickTime file via http://www.YouSendIt.com (or another appropriate site) by February 6, 2010 and notify Louise Rosen of your submission.
