Bangor’s Kahbang Film Festival accepting submissions

The submission period for the 2010 KahBang Film Festival is officially open. Festival organizers are looking for new, cutting edge films of all genres to review for possible admission into the festival’s lineup. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit short or feature length narrative, documentary, and experimental films for consideration.

MPBN Community Films airs “Visible Silence”

Another submission from an MFVA member will air on “MPBN Community Films” series!  As part of an ongoing effort to bring our member’s work to the public, the documentary “Visible Silence: Marsden Hartley, Painter and Poet” will be broadcast on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00am.

The film, produced by Michael Maglaras of 217 films is the first documentary ever made about Hartley, a modern art legend from Lewiston, Maine.
